The Wanderer

I’m a girl. Or a woman. I can’t decide which.

I studied Writing and Geography at my university, which corresponds with the passion for blogging and travel, I suppose.

I was born and raised on the west coast, but ran off to the east coast for school.

My father is cool but absent. My mother is incredible and I wish I could be more similar to her. I admire my older brother for his service to his country and family. My older sister is everything any person could ever want to be, especially happy. And my little sister has been my partner through many childhood and teenage crimes.

I have an extensive bucket list that I’m in the process of completing and simultaneously adding to.

I play the viola, the ugly big sister of the violin. The only reason I chose it in the 5th grade was to be different.

There is nothing in this world that I am more passionate about than open mindedness. I want to know and love everyone. And I want the world to return that love not just to me, but to everyone. At the same time, I’m realistic enough to have learned that we create our own Utopia.

I collect fortunes from fortune cookies.

I love the color yellow.

I’m a Lord of the Rings nerd.

My favorite shape is a circle. (Yes, I do have a favorite shape.)

I dared myself to sleep on the street just to say that I did.

I’m always sharing stories of my adventures and experiences that I’ve had during my 23 short years on this earth. As I’ve interacted with different people, I’ve come to realize that my life is incredibly interesting.

I don’t mean to say that I’m terribly interesting. I’m just your average Jane.

But perhaps that is what makes it an even more fascinating dynamic: I’m an average girl with a not-so average life.

So naturally, I decided to begin recording all of it here: the good, the bad, plenty of ugly, some nudity, lots of hilarious, a hint of scandalous, and a healthy dose of raw, real heart.

Welcome to my blog and my life.
