Reflect Today

My mother once told me we are each reflections of God’s beauty. And just like the reflective surface of a mountain lake, ripples and disturbances hinder us from presenting our truest, most beautiful selves.

Reflections aren’t always unmarred. Sometimes they’re distorted and misrepresent their sources. Those imperfections, of course, are what make both reflections and humans so dynamic, which may be the reason for my interest. Whatever the reason, my interest is there and my eye is magnetically drawn to reflections because of it.

This reflection was taken on a train from Austria to Switzerland.
